The SAPS in Odendaalsrus celebrated Youth Day with dedicated talks about crime prevention, drugs, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy, gangsterism and bullying at schools.
The station commander of Odendaalsrus, Col. Thenjiwe Mkhumbeni, addressed learners during the celebration on 16 June.
Local churches and the Department of Education, as well as Miss Welkom 2022, Lerato Segalo, and the community policing forum (CPF), joined in the celebrations held at the St John’s Apostolic Church in K5 Section,Kutloanong.
The chairperson of the district CPF, Jimmy Nomandla, talked about gangsterism and tattoos.
