In the Book of Habakkuk 2 God instructs the writer to write the vision and make it plain on tablets.

As we enter a new year, we still reflect on the year passed filled with highlights and setbacks, some fulfilled dreams and some shattered ones.

In Habakkuk 2, God instructs the author to write the vision, the dream, the goal down – write it in such a way that those who read it may understand it and run with it. Some of you had dreams, goals and ambitions for 2022 and yet some or none of these came to pass.

You might feel like, what’s the worth and that what you believed for has expired.

I want to remind you, the dream, the vision is for an appointed time – that is God’s time.

Although it “tarries” – “wait” for it.

God says when you read it, then run with it – actively wait for it, by doing the possible.

The Bible says that through faith and patience those who went before us inherited the promise.

We all have a choice to continue in this new year with a cynical whatever will happen mindset, or you can live 2023, knowing that God still has a plan for you, God still has a bright future for you, He is not a man that He should lie.

Although the promise tarries, it shall come to pass. He promises that He will make all things beautiful in its time. Continue to make great plans, continue to dream big dreams – write them down, read them and run with them. Heinrich Lourens, Zone Pastor CRC Welkom
