Regardless of whether or not you are a believer, everybody knows that Jesus Christ was crucified and rose again three days later.
It happened just as the prophets in the Old Testament said it would.
Today thousands upon thousands around the world celebrate the gift that God gave to us in his Son.
In John 12:24 we read the assurance that unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just one grain – but if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.
Any farmer will tell you that if you sow an apple seed, the harvest will be apples.
God sowed the seed of his Son, meaning that which rises up from the earth must be many Sons. Of course, the harvest must be of the same nature and character as the original seed.
Some people mock Christians and say they are nothing like Jesus, but the answer is they are not quite ripe yet. As sure as the promise of Christ coming into the earth was fulfilled, He promises that He is bringing many sons to glory. Sons who will have the same nature and character when the “fruit” is ripe.
Let the rain (the Word of God) keep falling on our hearts to nurture the seed of Christ within us. Let us push forward with joy and hope of the things that surely will come to pass. ) John Ade is of the Word of Faith Church in Welkom.
