The police in Welkom have launched a manhunt for five male suspects who robbed a clothing store in Welkom at gunpoint.
On Monday, 23 September, at 09:00 the men entered the Dunn’s clothing store in Welkom.
One of the men showed his firearms to the staff members before taking them to a storeroom and tying them up.
The suspects took 50 BFX wristwatches, men’s jeans, one black Samsung A04 cellphone, one blue Tecno cellphone, one black Huawei Nova Y62 cellphone, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the five suspects or anyone selling the stolen items, are asked to contact Sgt Seme Monyake of the Provincial Murder and Robbery unit on 076-934-9293, or the Crime Stop number 08600-10111. Alternatively, an anonymous tip-off can be sent via the MySAPS App.
