Welkom Secondary School in Bronville has launched an intense campaign to fight the social ills prevalent in the community. Last month the school presented a comprehensive sports day highlighting five sporting codes and involving five prominent schools in Matjhabeng. The theme of this day was “a child in sport is a child out of court.”
This has now been taken to the next level. “Talking Walls was created to remind our learners every day about the devastating effects of social ills on our young children. Every child is important to us. They are the future. Ps 116:12 What can I do in return to the Lord for all his goodness unto me. Be thankful, says Gerald de Jager, principal of the school.
