Summer is upon us and gradually the nights are getting warmer, the days are getting longer, but the gusty winds of August remain with us.

For the week ahead the day temperatures over the Goldfields are warming up into the mid-twenties to low thirties, with a maximum of 35°C expected on Saturday. On Wednesday the night temperatures take a drastic dip to -1°C overnight and rising to a cool 23°C by midday.

In general, however the minimum temperatures range between 6°C and 9°C, with day temperatures between 27°C and 35°C.

The veld fire alert for the region remains high.

The humidity levels range between 30% and 35% for the week.

On Sunday at about 20:00 severe thunderstorms are predicted, with a windspeed of 28km/h and a humidity level of 20%. At 18:00 the temperature will drop to 17°C, but at 20:00 diring the predicted storm, the ambient temperature will rise to 19°C.

On average there is a 0% chance of rain for the next 7 days, and the windspeeds will range between 7 km/h and 2.2 km/h.
