There are more than ten major holes in roads, bad road deterioration, and water and sewage leakages visible in Doorn, then Koppie Alleen Road, and down Badenhorst Street adjacent to Naudeville.

Two hours of driving through lower and upper Doorn, then Koppie Alleen Road, and down Badenhorst Street adjacent to Naudeville, reveals more than ten major holes in roads, bad road deterioration, and water and sewage leakages.

In Church Street there are two bad water leakages that are destroying the road surface, causing deep potholes. This causes traffic to swerve and veer to avoid accidents.

The same deterioration is seen in Fox and Reitz Street. Added to this, Nyala Road has major sewage leaks.

In Koppie Alleen Road, in the direction of the traffic department, there are two burst pipes causing surface deterioration; at the entrance to Long Road from Koppie Alleen there is a wide gravel strip where the tar surface has been removed. This is dangerous for vehicles entering the traffic circle.

In William Street in upper Doorn there is a lidless manhole in the middle of the road – motorists are warned by a thin plastic ribbon.

Exiting William back into Koppie Alleen, there is another manhole in a large pothole filled with water.

To a driver’s left at this intersection is one of the numerous Matjhabeng sewage pumps blocking one lane of Koppie Alleen.

In Badenhorst Road, just before Commando Cafe, there are two water leakages surrounded by deep potholes and severe road surface deterioration.
