The seniors of the Dimamarela Football Club, established this year, were crowned the Lejweleputswa Regional League Nedbank Cup champions.
They beat Silver Ten on penalties last Friday (14/10), and on Sunday the club represented Lejweleputswa in the preliminary knockout tournament of the Nedbank Cup in Bloemfontein, where they beat Bubchu United FC of the Xhariep region by 5 – 3.
On Saturday (22/10) they will be playing against the Mountain Eagles of the Thabo Mofutsanyana region in Kroonstad.
Mohono says the club needs the prayers and support of the entire community.
The club is based in Hani Park and incorporates U15, U17, U19, Ladies soccer and the senior team.
According to the club manager, Tumelo Mohono, this was the first time that the senior team took part in the cup tournament.
