Suspects in possession of dagga valued at R60 000 were arrested at a roadblock on the N5 between Senekal and Winburg on Thursday (21/07).
The two suspects, Thato Seakamela (33) and Letlhogonolo Tlhokoe (30), were charged for possession of dagga, and after appearing in the Winburg Magistrate’s Court each was granted bail of R5 000.
During the roadblock, led by Capt. Abram George of the police in Bronville and Capt. Daniel Kareli of Meloding, police members found wrapped bags with dagga, weighing 28 kg, in the suspects’ bakkie. They also confiscated R8 640.
The suspects will again appear in court on 16 September.
