Two alleged rapists have been arrested after a woman was attacked in her home in Meloding.

A 39-year-old woman was raped and attacked at her residence in Albany section, Meloding, in Virginia on 14 November after her boyfriend had just left for work.

Two men entered her residence while she was in bed. One of the suspects took out a knife and stabbed the woman in her head.

She was instructed to quietly undress herself. Both suspects then took turns in raping her and threatened her to not report the incident to the police.

The woman reported the incident at the Meloding Police Station and a case of two counts of rape and attempted murder was registered for further investigations.

Const. Sedimo Mosalaesi and Sgt Morhibedi Phakani of the Meloding Crime Prevention unit arrested the two suspects, aged 18 and 22 years. They will appear in the Virginia Magistrates’ Court today, 16 November.
