The Bothaville police arrested two 14-year-old boys after a video surfaced of a 12-year-old girl being raped on a local school’s premises.
The video clip is making rounds on social media and shows two boys violating the 12-year-old girl on the premises of one of the schools in Kgotsong, Bothaville.
The Welkom Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit members, led by Lt Colonel Bizzah Ntsiane, followed up the incident after the mother registered a case of rape on behalf of her daughter. The two boys were arrested for rape and charged. They have been released to their parents.
The boys were expected to appear in the Bothaville Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 November.
