Mohlakeng Acapellas is a five-man group comprising of local talent.
They are a mellow down to earth group that hails from Nyakallong, Allanridge.
They have been doing great on the local music scene and they have had the opportunity to perform with The Soil, Micasa, Tshepo Tshola and Afrika Mamas.
They are currently working with Ladysmith Black Mambazo under Mobile Academy.
They have also performed at prestigious festivals around the country including shooting TV virtual concerts.
A few of their hits have played on various radio stations and they have also released a mass collaboration song titled Asibavikele with the Legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Mondli Ngcobo.
The song is currently enjoying airtime on various music TV channels.
Mohlakeng Acapellas has released an 11 track album titled “The Sedge Motho o kgonwa ke sa hae”, this album was released under Mambazo Music and Gallo Records, and is their first album.
Mohlakeng Acapellas will be hosting A Night with Mohlakeng and Friends that is going to be their album launch featuring Thee Legacy, Itu, Deeper da Vocalist, Andiswa, Zulu Bravo and Blaacq Moove,
MC Tshidye on 23 August at the Goldfields Casino.
