More than ever, I believe it is time for us to refine our focus and attune ourselves to the voice of God Z the source of all sustainable hope.

Hearing what He is speaking over us in this season is of paramount importance.

Our wise creator often uses the natural, the seen, to teach us principles about His spiritual and unseen kingdom.

Deafness and hearing loss affects speech and effective communication.

Our deafness and hearing loss in terms of the voice of God affects the sounds we make and the language we use.

I am of the opinion that we need to recognise that we have become deaf or hard of hearing to the voice of God. We have traded the voice of the God for the mere opinions of man.

The voice of God is drowned out by all the noise in our lives and the priorities which scream for our attention. Because we are not listening to our source of hope, our speech is dripping and infused with hopelessness and despair.

  • May we slow down. May we strip away. May we simplify our lives. May we recognise that we were designed for His voice. You might not be aware, but everything about you is crying out for Him. All else is inferior. As I have heard a well-known preacher declare: “because He speaks, I live”. May we make time to feast upon the words of the One who loves us.Romien Joubert is of the Lighuis Jesus-bediening.
