The headmaster of the Welkom Technical High School (THS), who is also a member of the Goldfields Muslim Association, attained the first position in the excellence in secondary school leadership category at the Provincial Teaching Awards 2023.
This places Raees Rodgers among the top nine headmasters in the country, with one selected from each province.
Rodgers was announced as the winner at the awards ceremony that took place at the Marematlou Training Institute in Bloemfontein on 18 August.
