Four suspects made a brief appearance in the Virginia Magistrates’ Court, on 20 July, facing charges of housebreaking and theft.
On Sunday, 16 July, there was a housebreaking and theft incident at a house in Highlands Avenue, Virginia.
With the help of community members, the suspects were arrested after they were found with suspected stolen items such as expensive bags, sunglasses, sneakers and jewellery which were sold around Virginia and Meloding the following Saturday and Sunday.
The suspects, Lefa Nakane (27), Mosa Mucane (19), and Oratilwe Kabedi (18) remain in custody.
The 17-year-old juvenile suspect has been released into the custody of his parent.
