The MediClinic Vista Road Race has put on a brand-new front. The women’s race traditionally run at the end of August as a night race, will now see daylight for the first time in 23 years. The popular annual event is scheduled for Saturday, 23 August. The distances have been changed. Runners can now opt for either a 5km for woman only, or one of two open races – of 10km and 5km each. The race day starts at 11:00 and ends at 15:00. This year’s theme is “Arise, Shine – It’s Time”. Capital Sounds has come on board, and is set to launch the largest road race broadcast it has ever done. Pictured are the roleplayers, sponsors and behind-the-scenes stalwarts who make this race a reality and put it on the race diary every year.
