It is said that in a dark night a candlelight can be seen for 40 km. Jesus declares that He is the light of the world.
He came to people sitting in darkness, with no hope for the future.
He handed this responsibility of being light to us, His followers, and to His church Z His body on earth.
It is now our responsibility to take the light of the gospel into every dark place. His command to the church and every believer was not to tell people to come and see, but to go and be.
The assignment was to be light in this world. The light must be taken to humanity. People around us sit in darkness with no hope; we carry the light to bring hope to such.
Let us, like Jesus, preach the gospel to the poor, the broken-hearted, and those in prison. Let us be the light where it matters. Why would we proclaim the gospel twice to a person when there are people who have never heard it.
Jesus declares that we must wake up and see that the harvest is ripe on the land, the problem is that there are no workers.
Let us report with the light of the gospel to enter the harvest field to bring in the harvest. May the Holy Spirit activate you today as a believer to be light wherever you go.
