A book on Bloemfontein is now being compiled and residents and visitors to the city are welcome to take part in an exciting project to take photos of well known landmarks that is unique.

The best submissions will be considered for inclusion in the book.

At this stage, the book will include interesting history on the city from different perspectives as well as a focus on the positive side of the well loved city. Several contributors are working on the compilation.

Take photos of Bloemfontein that is unique to the city.

Photo submissions must give an interesting and fresh perspective on the landmarks, with good proportions and lighting being key elements. Send entries with the date the photo was taken and subject as well as the photographers name and surname before Wednesday, 14 January to lientjie.mentz@novusmedia.co.za.

So, if you are staying at home this holiday, consider an outing and take photos of your favourite landmark this Christmas holiday. Also consider a family outing to places of interest and let the children take part in a photo-fantasy. There is no need for professional cameras, good cellphones will do the trick.
