Four armed men fired several shots at police after they had robbed a general dealer in Phomolong, Hennenman.
On Sunday (25/09) at 19:30 the complainant was behind the till when four men entered the shop. They pointed a firearm at him and told him to be quiet. They shoved him to the ground and took money, cosmetics and cigarettes. They also robbed customers of their cellphones.
As the robbers were leaving the shop, they fired shots at a passing SAPS patrol vehicle and fled. Nobody was injured, but the police vehicle was damaged.
No arrests have been made.
