Two suspects with dagga and cash in their possession were arrested by the Welkom Public Order Policing (POP) in the central business district (CBD).
On 29 March, the POP members were busy with visible policing in the CBD when they received information that two suspects are busy selling drugs.
They found 5 litres of dagga which weighs 538 grams and R1700 cash on a 36-year-old and the second suspect, a 32-year-old had 10 full Mandrax tablets on him. This suspect is a foreign national.
The two men have been charged with dealing in drugs.
The acting district commissioner of Lejweleputswa, Brig. Mzondi Mojafi, applauded the SAPS members and he expressed his appreciation for the residents of Welkom for giving information to SAPS members which symbolizes trust.
