Two suspects with dagga and cash in their possession were arrested by members of the Welkom Public Order Policing unit in the central business district (CBD).
On 29 March, the police members were busy with visible policing in the CBD when receiving information that two suspects were selling drugs.
They found dagga which weighs 538 g and R1 700 cash on a 36-year-old, and the second suspect, who is a 32-year-old man, had 10 full mandrax tablets on him. This suspect is a foreign national.
The two men have been charged with dealing in drugs.
The police expressed appreciation that residents reveal such information.
