A 31-year-old foreign national was arrested in Ventersburg when he was found in possession of 0,682 kg of dagga and R110 cash.
On Friday, 27 January, members of Crime Intelligence received information from residents of Mmamahabane about a man who was dealing in drugs.
“The information was operationalised and, in conjunction with Welkom Public Order Policing members, they raided a house in Mmamahabane, Ventersburg,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
The man living in the house was asked for his permission for officials to conduct a search. Police members then found five transparent plastic bags containing small ziplock bags with dagga in them.
The man was arrested for dealing in dagga.
