Three suspects have been arrested for possession of a beige Mercedes-Benz worth R250 000, which was stolen in Welkom. On Saturday (18/03) members of the Welkom K9 unit and the Welkom police received information about a stolen vehicle travelling from Bothaville to Welkom. They set up a road block and the vehicle was stopped on the R30 road near Odendaalsrus.
The occupants of the vehicle were two foreign men aged 36 and 37 years, as well as a 26-year-old South African woman.
“The suspects were found with a fake driving licence, the owner of the vehicle’s Capitec bank card and registration papers of the vehicle.”
