A 30-year-old Phahameng man sustained a deep stab wound to his chest when he was attacked by four youths.
The incident took place on 7 April at about 10:00. The emergency services were summoned and the Bultfontein police came to the scene.
The chest wound was close to the victim’s heart and he was admitted to hospital.
Sgt. Lucky Tshabangu investigated the incident and followed up on information he received from the victim.
Four youths aged between 18 and 20 years were subsequently arrested and are facing attempted murder charges.
“The motive for the attack and the stabbing is unknown at this stage, and investigation continues,” said Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.
