The Kweetsa Primary School in Phomolong, Hennenman, took part in the Lejweleputswa District U13 Soccer Tournament at the end of August.

This is the first time Kweetsa’s Soccer Ladies team played at this high level of football in Lejweleputswa. They are the only school in circuit 3 (Ventersburg and Hennenman) to have a female soccer division.

The team lost all three matches, but are happy to have gained experience at this level.

“Next year we will bounce back to play better than this year, and I am also happy and impressed by the performance of my girls. They do not just play, they fight; especially Nontozanele Mahana and Kiba Rethabile.

“They play wonderful football. I am proud of my girls, they impressed me a lot. I promise the school and our supporters that next time we will work harder than we did,” says Lefa Senatla, coach ofthe team.
