A national seafood chain restaurant situated in The Strip, Welkom, has for the third year running brought Christmas cheer to orphans in Matjhabeng. Initially, the project provided gifts to Welkom Morning Star and its Kuloanong satellite, and also the Heal the Hearts orphanage in Thabong. “This year we have incorporated the Kanaledi Home for the Disabled in Welkom,” says Ellen Abatzoglou, owner of the restaurant. Staff and customers of the restaurant amassed 165 gifts incorporating toys, sweets, face cloths and soap.
