The outbreak of diarrhoea and cholera is on the rise in South Africa.
The Free State Health Department can confirm that there are no cholera or diarrhoea-related deaths in the Free State. The eight confirmed cases of cholera in the province are all in Vredefort, and those patients have been treated and discharged.
“We have to work together, consistently, to curb any potential spread of infections and also make sure that the identified cases get treated immediately.” said Zwelibanzi Qamkana, communications officer for Lejweleputswa’s Department of Health.
