The Welkom SPCA recently put out an appeal asking for assistance with repairing their vehicle, which had become rundown.
Sitting at over 480 000 km on the clock, the vehicle was struggling to reach areas as far as Bultfontein and Bothaville to reach animals in need.
Attorney Brendan Kretzmann reached out to Witbank SPCA to assist in repairing the vehicle, and E-car, a vehicle repair and maintenance company, offered to repair the engine, brakes, radiator, cam belt, coil-pack, and head-gasket at an extremely reduced cost without which the Welkom SPCA would not have been able to afford the service.
“The Welkom SPCA expresses its sincere appreciation to Attorney Kretzmann and E-car for their generous support and joint effort in ensuring that the Welkom SPCA has a fully operational vehicle to assist animals,” says Ian Lombard of the Welkom SPCA.
Through the financial support of the community, the Welkom SPCA can continue to combat animal cruelty and give animals a chance at the life they deserve.
“There are various ways to support the SPCA which include cash donations or donating unwanted items to our thrift shop for resale, buying items from the Welkom SPCA thrift shop, or donating goods to be used by the Welkom SPCA,” he says.
