Following the decision of the NSPCA board to not close the Welkom SPCA, the management committee remains committed to serving the community and the animals in the area.
So says Zack Roussouw, chairman of the Welkom SPCA.
“For our efforts to be successful we will require the full and continued support of the Welkom community,” says Roussouw.
Support can be shown through monetary donations, and donations of wet or dry dog and cat food, as well as pet blankets.
Donations of secondhand goods or books will be sold to generate funds to go towards the organisation’s operational costs.
Further assistance includes adopting an animal and becoming a member of the SPCA and its committee.
