The son of the Free State MEC for Health, Nokwanje Selina “Mathabo” Leeto, is missing.
Lehana Junior Leeto (16) was reported missing by his father, Lehana Leeto, who lives in Jim Fouche Park, Welkom.
His father last saw him on Friday, 8 September, at about 20:00, and he reported him as missing at the Welkom police station in Jan Hofmeyer Road on Monday.
Junior Leeto is a student a college in Bloemfontein.
The places he is known to frequent visit in Welkom and surrounds have been visited, but the young boy has not yet been found.

His mother is a South African politician who has been the Member of the Executive Council for Health in the Executive Council of the Free State and a Member of the Free State Provincial Legislature since 2023.
She became the Free State MEC for Health in March 2023. She is also the provincial treasurer of the ANC in the province. She recently replaced Montseng Tsiu.
