The Hennenman community welcomes its new police station commander, Lt. Col Sephiri John Matankole.
He started his career in Ventersburg, and was appointed as the community service centre (CSC) commander in Hennenman in 2004.
He was subsequently transferred to Kroonstad as the visible policing (Vispol) support commander. In 2016, he was then transferred to Virginia as the Vispol operational commander.
During 2017 he was appointed as the Vispol commander at Hennenman until 2018 when he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel as shift commander at the Thabong police station.
Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liason officer for the Lejweleputswa police, says Matankole’s vision is to create a safe and secure environment for residents of Hennenman, and to enhance the police-community relations.
