Roaring success

The annual Motor, Rotor and Bike Show, which was held at the Riebeeckstad High School on Saturday (29/07), was a major success. This year the show was held in memory of one of the founders of the Welkom Classic Car Club, Craig Evans, who passed away recently. The show attracted hundreds of visitors from all over. Children were enthralled by the magician and the dancing stilt walkers, and visitors of all ages were mesmerised by the array of vintage and exotic cars and motorbikes on display, including the Rat Rods and Harley Davidsons. New members of the club, Stan Jerling and his wife, Dirkie, were also at the show. Here they are with their 1960 Ford Thames lorry.
