Due to the increasing number of participants in the Mediclinic Vista Eskom Athletic Club Free State Road Race, with the theme “Sparkling Star Celebration”, roads will be closed on some parts of the route.

Motorists will be made aware to take caution of the participants.

The hospital emergency entrances and exit will be open for the parking area for patients, doctors, staff, employees, visitors and tenants only.

The streets with access to the emergency entrances will be Long Road, Meulen Street, Petrus Bosch Street, Toronto Road and Lategan Street.

Road users need to be on the lookout for alternative routes and road closure boards and signs, emergency lights, fencing, drums and poles with chains to warn motorists or motorcyclists of the closure of the streets and reminding them be on the lookout for participants.

“Your patience will be highly appreciated,” says Hilde du Plessis, chairperson of the Eskom Athletic Club Free State, and event organiser.
