Three athletes from Riebeeskatd High School participated at the ASA SA Athletics Championship in Cape Town from the 27 to 29 March, where they achieved very good results.
Katleho Mokhothu came 10th in the 2000m Steeplechase Boys U18, and his fellow athlete Atlehang Erasmus came 7th in the 2000m Steeplechase Boys U18. Sylvia Lesige had an excellent race coming in 4th in the 1500m Steeplechase.
One week later, the Riebies participated at the SA Schools Athletics Championship held in Bloemfontein from 2 to 5 April, where the athletes performed excellently.
Erasmus came 5th in the 2000m Steeplechase Boys U17, Mokhothu came 4th in the 2000m Steeplechase Boys U17 and Lesige had the race of her life ending in 2nd place in the Girls U15 1500m Steeplechase.
