The stench coming from the sewerage is unbearable and we need the municipality to assist in this matter.
Our children will get sick of this smell coming from the manhole in Barend Street, right in front of the Welkom Secondary School and Golden Park School.
Children that stay close to these schools sometimes try to divert the sewage from the one, only to be faced with another problem approaching from the other.
The drains overflow and water floods the street.
We have a councillor yet he seems to be doing nothing with regards to the complaints of the community.
I am not going to delve into it, but consistency is key.
You need to surround yourself with a group of competent people and stop this apparent favouritism and nepotism.
