The popular and well-known Goldfields Game Ranch Trail Run will take place on Saturday, 16 November.
Under the banner, “Unwrap the Gift of Blessings,” the trail will again wind though the game reserve surrounding the lodge.
Vista
is the printed media sponsor and The Blessings Animal Shelter in Welkom will be the beneficiary.
“The community is encouraged to take part, and to also generously make donations in the form of money or desperately needed food to The Blessings Animal Shelter in Alma Road,” says Hilde du Plessis, chairperson of the Eskom Athletic Club Free State and event organiser.
Pre-entries can be done online at entryninja.com, or manually at different points across Welkom. The closing date for entries is the day of the event. On the day of the run, entry will be open from 06:30 until 30 minutes before each of the individual races start.
Flyers will be made available at Sydney’s Cars, Koppie Alleen Road, Phakisa Signs at 126 Constantia Road, the Blessings Animal Shelter at 5 Alma Road, Lesedi ICT at 395 Stateway, the Vista offices, Shepherd Alarms in Riebeeckstad, and the Goldfields Game Ranch outside Virginia.

All participants will receive a medal, and there will be lucky draws and various cash prizes available. Products will be sold on the day in aid of the animal shelter.
The different categories and age groups marking the different races will cater to the whole family, businesses, and friends, fostering a culture of fitness and togetherness within the community.
