A 37-year-old man has been arrested for fatally wounding a woman in a domestic dispute in Thabong.
On Sunday, 25 May, members of the local police were summoned to the scene of a possible murder in Thabong.
“On arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a woman lying on a sofa with multiple injuries to her face, and blood stains on the floor.
“It is alleged that on the Saturday night an altercation ensued between the couple over a house key. The suspect then allegedly physically assaulted the 36-year-old victim and left her on the couch overnight.
“The suspect allegedly went to seek assistance in the morning when he realised that his girlfriend was motionless. The 36-year-old female victim was declared dead by the emergency services,” says
Sgt. Palesa Thabana, spokesperson for the Lejweleputswa police.
The suspect was subsequently arrested for murder.
