Throughout the church’s history, the question has always been asked: When will the end come? When will Christ return to Earth again? Especially when we are experiencing times of crisis such as wars, epidemics and natural disasters.
We read the following in Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
This will not happen if a human-caused gospel or a gospel born from tradition is preached, or a gospel born from a certain domination. The end will come only when the gospel of the kingdom is preached. This is when the gospel is preached around the perfect will of God based on his word. Our prayer is to “let your kingdom come; let your will be done as it is in heaven, so also on earth”.
Our task as the church and believers is to be a manifestation of God’s kingdom to every nation on Earth. This is why every opportunity must be seized to carry the gospel to all nations. We can no longer wait for people to visit our churches or emigrate from one church to another.
In our country, we have a window of opportunity to preach the gospel freely. Let us make the best of every opportunity to bring the good news of God’s kingdom to a world that has lost hope.
The end will only come when every nation on Earth is confronted with the gospel of the kingdom. An enormous task and responsibility rests on every church and believer’s shoulders to conduct this task to proclaim his kingdom.
As nations from all over the world enter the country, may the Holy Spirit inspire us to act proactively in spreading the gospel of his kingdom.
Remember, the church is the determining factor for when the end will come.
