For the second consecutive year the Welkom Runners continued to touch the lives of the community with their Bringing Back a Smile project.

“The project is aimed at community members who are less fortunate in different ways.

“Selected families received food hampers and clothes in December, which enabled them to have a joyful and happy Christmas,” says Nkhetheni Masupa.

As part of the project they did their traditional 16 km group run before handing over the hampers in Thabong, Hennenman, Virginia and Odendaalsrus.

“We would like to thank all the caring people from Welkom for their donations. We wouldn’t have achieved the goals of this great initiative without your involvement. We want to encourage others to join in so that we can help hundreds of families suffering out there,” he says.
