The Lejweleputswa District Women’s Network celebrated World Day of Prayer (WDP) with an event themed, “I Have Heard About Your Faith.”

The event was held on Friday (03/03) at about 10:00, at the United Reformed Church in Bronville.

Col. Senobia Solomon, Lejweleputswa District chairperson for the Women’s Network, directed the programme for the day, while Glenda Titus opened the event with a powerful prayer.

Col. Solomon explained the background of WDP, and that Taiwan was the focus country for 2023.

Lt. Col. Martha Sieberts, station commander of Bronville police, welcomed the women. The guardian of the Women’s Network, Maj. Gen. Apaphia Modise, and the station commander of Welkom police, Brig. Disebo Cezula, the Women’s Network champion in the Lejweleputswa District, also attended.

Modise, in her address, spoke about the power of a praying woman, implored women to seek the Kingdom of God, and pray for each other so that they can be women of purpose.

Women donated some offerings that will be given to the Christian World Service – Developers Foundation, known for working with poor rural families.

Solomon thanked all attendees and organisers for making the event successful.
