The Operation Vala uMgodi Proactive team conducted disruptive actions in Virginia and arrested a man for dealing in drugs.

On 27 February they stopped and searched a 46-year-old man in Gold Acre Street. He was found in possession of 27 zip lock plastic bags containing Crystal Meth.

The packets, which sell at R50 each in the streets, were seized.

A White Toyota Legend 50, which had been reported stolen at Brooklyn Police Station in Limpopo, was recovered by Operation Vala uMgodi team in Ratlali Street, Meloding near Virginia.

“The team worked with a vehicle tracking company and discovered that the VIN (identifying code for automobile, also known as car’s fingerprints) had been tampered with and altered,” said Lt Col Thabo Covane, spokesperson in the Free State.
