The members of the Thabong Partnership Policing initiative conducted a community outreach project at the Heal The Hearts Child and Youth Care Centre in Phokeng, Thabong.

The outreach was held on 26 April after members of the Thabong police decided to give back to the community.

The victim and older persons coordinator at the Thabong Police Station, Sgt Matshidiso Xaba, took the lead in this endeavour.

They donated blankets, linen, and gas cylinders to the youth centre.

“The centre was adopted by the partnership, as there are a number of projects aiming to continue changing the lives of the community,” says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.

Thakeng says the intention is for the children to be warm during this coming winter. Safety was emphasised to the children who attended the morning event.
