The Free State police are requesting the community’s help in finding Khatliso Edwin Makhetha who was last seen in Calabria, Meloding, in Virginia, on Friday, 5 May.
On Friday (05/05) Makhetha went missing in Calabria, where he lives with his brother, Thabo. According to Thabo, it was believed Makhetha was going to watch soccer with a friend, but he never returned.
On Sunday (07/05) Thabo called Makhetha’s cellphone without success. The family then contacted friends and other relatives about his whereabouts, but to no avail. They also enquired at his workplace in Welkom where he serves as a university lecturer, and found out he never pitched.
Makhetha’s wife, who resides in Johannesburg, was also contacted and related that she last spoke with her husband on Sunday.
The room where he resides was searched, where it was discovered his cellphone and wallet were missing. Makhetha left with his black Ford Fiesta with the registration number HKL 032 FS.
It is not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. He is short in height, light in complexion, with a short haircut and style.
