The Vala uMgodi team arrested four men aged between 23 and 60 years, for being in possession of suspected stolen mine proppery.
On 6 May, proactive operators of Operation Vala uMgodi and a private security company arrested the men along the Bambanani Main Road. They were travelling in a red, old model Toyota Hilux.

“A case docket of possession of presumably stolen property was opened at the Welkom Police Station,” said Lt. Col Thabo Covane, police spokesperson for the Free State police.
Another suspect was also arrested after being found in possession of a Samsung plasma television, Samsung computer screen, Samsung computer box, Genius keyboard and mouse in Mooi Street, Welkom. The 27-year-old suspect could not give account to the police on where he acquired the electronic appliances.
Another case docket of possession of presumably stolen property was opened at the Welkom Police Station, said Covane.
The Majoc Roving team conducted disruptive policing actions in Bronville and arrested a 33-year-old suspect in possession of prohibited drugs. The team searched the suspect at the corner of Golding and Petersen Street in Bronville, and found 65 full Mandrax tablets and three ziplock bags of crystal meth weighing 4.36g in the suspect’s possession.
A case docket of dealing in drugs was then opened at the Bronville Police Station.
