After a deceased man was found beside the R70 road, police are now looking for his relatives along with suspects to help solve this matter.
On Sunday (30/07) the police were informed of an African male lying beside the road on the Ventersburg-Senekal route.
Upon their arrival, police members found an unknown and unresponsive man. A preliminary investigation revealed that he was robbed.
He had open wounds on his hand and arms. He was wearing a green top, grey trousers, and grey socks without shoes.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned to the scene and he was certified dead. A case of murder was registered for further investigation.
Nobody has come forward to claim the deceased. As such, he is kept at the Welkom Forensic Pathology Services.
