The police need assistance in finding three alleged rapists who are suspected of gang raping an 18-year-old school girl in Riebeeckstad.
On 4 December 2022, the girl was with her boyfriend at the Victoria Hall in Solomon street, Riebeeckstad, waiting for transport. They were approached by three unknown males who could be aged between 20 and 30 years.
They instructed her boyfriend to take off his clothes, he refused and he was hit with a firearm on his head. He took off his clothes but managed to run away leaving his girlfriend with these unknown suspects.
The victim was also instructed to take off her clothes and she was forced to an open field nearby where she was gang raped at gun and knife point. They threatened to shoot her if she did not comply.
After the rape, her two Samsung cellphones were robbed.
She managed to flee from the scene and sought help. A case of rape was registered for further investigation.
