Police stations in the Lejweleputswa district celebrated Child Protection Week with awareness campaigns.
On 5 June members of the unit for family violence, child protection and sexual offences visited schools and crèches.
They taught learners about crime and crime prevention.
The Thuto and Bataung Crèches, SA Mokhothu Primary School and Dihwai Primary School learners were given safety tips and were informed about children’s rights, kidnapping and rape.
The Bronville Women’s Network engaged in Sports Against Crime.
A netball competition was arranged and they played against the Hani Park Primary School educators.
