The Provincial Organised Crime unit is appealing to the community of Welkom to help trace and apprehend suspects who have robbed two different filling stations in Welkom in two separate incidents that occurred last year.
The first incident occurred on 22 March 2022 at about 21:00 at a petrol station in Dagbreek.
Money was taken from the tills, and the perpetrators also took several cartons of cigarettes.
The second incident occurred on 26 March 2022 at about 20:20 at a petrol station near the Voorspoed circle in Welkom.
The suspects were armed. During this robbery, a suspect known as “Sandlana” was fatally shot inside the convenience store, on the premises.
