Local philanthropist Pauline Mattana has donated three oil paintings by Theo Kleynhans, a well-known South African artist, to be raffled to raise much-needed funds for the Goldfields Hospice. The raffle will form part of the Goldfields Hospice’s 30-year celebrations. The draw will take place at the craft market planned to commemorate the celebrations on 20 October. The market will be open to the public from 09:00 to 21:00. The Tree of Memories’ lights will also be switched on on this day. The raffle tickets cost R10 each. Dial 057-353-2152 for more information.
