Karen Uys sells cakes, biscuits, and rusks from her stall at the monthly People’s Market at the Welkom Technical High School. This month, there were 110 stalls and exhibitors from all over the country who converged on Welkom to sell their wares. With her is, from left, Simon Romatobe and Jan Romatobe. Stall owners Vista spoke with said it was almost certainly the best market of 2024, bursting with exhibitors and visitors alike. They like the new names, venue, safety and security offered.
